Worked on the google/benchmark repository to improve the reliability of the build process by updating documentation. Addressed a critical issue in the README by clarifying the use of BENCHMARK_DOWNLOAD_DEPENDENCIES=on during the CMake configuration step, ensuring that all necessary dependencies are downloaded automatically. This change aligned the build instructions with the latest project guidance, reducing the risk of missing dependencies for both developers and continuous integration pipelines. The update was implemented using Markdown and focused on enhancing documentation clarity.
