Worked on the harry0703/yt-dlp repository to deliver Kika playlist extraction support, expanding the tool’s ability to handle new video sources. Developed the KikaPlaylistIE class in Python, integrating it with the main extractor list to enable seamless end-to-end extraction of videos from Kika playlists. Focused on maintainability by aligning the new extractor with the existing architecture, ensuring future extensibility. Utilized skills in API integration and web scraping to implement robust playlist download capabilities without introducing major bugs. The work enhanced user experience by broadening source coverage and demonstrated a methodical approach to feature development within a large-scale open-source project.
