In September 2025, Henry worked on the bitcoin/bitcoin repository to enhance the build system by centralizing environment-specific settings, focusing on maintainability and reproducibility. He refactored the build configuration by moving the CMAKE_SKIP_INSTALL_RPATH setting from CMakeLists.txt into the Guix build script, reducing duplication and clarifying the separation of concerns between build scripts and environment management. Using CMake and Shell scripting, Henry improved the consistency of Guix-based builds, addressing issues related to environment drift. This work streamlined onboarding for new contributors and simplified future changes, demonstrating a thoughtful approach to build system configuration and CI/CD process optimization.
