Worked on enhancing the build system for the bitcoin/bitcoin repository by centralizing environment-specific configuration, specifically moving the CMAKE_SKIP_INSTALL_RPATH setting from CMakeLists.txt to the Guix build script. This approach improved maintainability by consolidating build logic and reducing duplication across files, making future updates and onboarding more straightforward. Focused on ensuring reproducible builds within Guix-based environments, the work addressed potential build drift and clarified the separation of concerns between build scripts and configuration files. Utilized CMake and Shell scripting skills, along with expertise in build system configuration and CI/CD practices, to deliver a targeted, maintainable feature within a short timeframe.
