During April 2025, SamSike contributed to the OpenDrop_OP repository by building a data conversion feature that enabled interoperability between ConanML and OpenDrop data formats. Using Python scripting and a focus on data conversion and dependency management, SamSike implemented the convert_conanml_to_opendrop function to transform ConanML data structures for downstream IFT analysis. The work included updating requirements-stable.txt to support the latest tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem, ensuring compatibility with evolving data loading needs. Additionally, SamSike refactored ift_acquisition.py to improve code organization and readability. The scope was focused and technical, addressing maintainability and reliability in the data acquisition pipeline without bug fixes.
