During May 2025, Kuko focused on improving the stability of the intercom/intercom-react-native repository by addressing a critical issue in the Expo plugin integration. He identified and fixed an incorrect import of the Intercom module within the Expo plugin configuration, which had been causing build-time and runtime errors for developers integrating Intercom with Expo-based React Native projects. Working primarily with TypeScript and leveraging his skills in Expo and plugin development, Kuko’s targeted bug fix removed friction from the onboarding process and enhanced the reliability of the integration. The work demonstrated careful attention to detail and a pragmatic engineering approach.
