During a one-month engagement, Honma focused on stabilizing issue intake workflows for the NUTFes/group-manager-2 repository. Honma addressed a bug in GitHub’s issue template recognition by correcting the template path and introducing YAML front matter, ensuring that custom templates are consistently applied. This work, implemented in Markdown and managed through GitHub Actions, improved the reliability of issue triage by reducing misrouted reports and standardizing the intake process. The changes were delivered in two traceable commits, allowing for quick rollback if necessary. Honma’s targeted fix enhanced the repository’s issue management practices, though the scope was limited to a single bug fix.
