Developed and delivered a self-service debugging feature for the ipfs/kubo repository, enabling users to verify the public reachability of node addresses through the new ipfs swarm addrs autonat command powered by AutoNAT V2. Focused on backend and API development using Go, the work included implementing comprehensive tests to ensure reliability and updating documentation to support user adoption. The feature streamlines self-diagnosis for operators and users, reducing troubleshooting time. Additional improvements addressed code quality by refining text casing, handling default Unknown states, and deduplicating formatting helpers, reflecting a thorough approach to maintainability and robustness in backend systems and testing practices.
