Developed and delivered the Column Ordering Display feature for the dbeaver/dbeaver repository, enhancing the Data Editor Grid to show the ordinal position of columns through a configurable UI option. The implementation involved introducing a new preference key for configuration management and updating the user interface to reflect this setting, allowing users to toggle the display of column positions as needed. Leveraging Java and skills in UI development and data grid presentation, the work improved data comprehension and navigation for users handling large datasets. The feature was fully integrated with traceable commits, demonstrating a focused approach to targeted, user-driven enhancements.
