During February 2025, Huda developed a hierarchical codes selection UI for the uhh-lt/dats repository, focusing on frontend refactoring to support scalable and accurate code navigation. She implemented a tree-structured popover that renders codes hierarchically, introducing level-aware data propagation and visual indentation within the AnnotationMenu. Using React and TypeScript, Huda updated the flatTreeWithRoot structure to include level information and adjusted useComputeCodesForSelection to pass this data through the UI. This work improved user experience by enabling faster, more intuitive navigation of hierarchical codes and enhanced the modularity and maintainability of the codebase, laying groundwork for future feature expansion.
