During July 2025, Arivappa contributed to the k3s-io/etcd repository by enhancing the user experience and documentation for the --quota-backend-bytes flag. Focusing on Markdown-based documentation, Arivappa updated help messages and release notes across versions 3.4, 3.5, and 3.6 to clarify quota configuration and align documentation with actual system behavior. This work aimed to reduce user misconfiguration risks by providing clearer guidance directly in user-facing docs and changelogs. The effort demonstrated a methodical approach to documentation improvement, leveraging skills in technical writing and version control, and addressed a targeted usability issue rather than broad codebase or bug fixes.
