Addressed a critical data integrity issue by refining how binlog offset comparisons and event skipping are handled, ensuring that data is preserved accurately across checkpoints. Developed and integrated comprehensive regression tests to validate these changes and prevent future issues, emphasizing robust unit testing practices. Utilized Java and backend development expertise to stabilize the CDC pipeline’s behavior during restores.
