During August 2025, ThioJoe developed a focused feature for the ThioJoe/_tempFork_vscode repository, implementing a Visual Studio Code Tab Index Display to show the order of tabs within the editor. Using TypeScript and applying UI/UX design principles, ThioJoe introduced settings changes and a new name prefix option for resource labels, enhancing labeling consistency and configurability. The technical approach included code simplifications to support the new feature, aiming to reduce cognitive load and streamline tab navigation for developers. This work demonstrated depth in front end development, addressing workflow efficiency by minimizing tab-switching time and improving the overall user experience in the editor.
