Worked on the slint-ui/slint repository to enhance UI reliability by addressing a complex scrolling issue in ListView components with dynamically changing item heights. Focused on frontend development and performance optimization, the work involved recalculating and adjusting scroll positions during mouse events to maintain smooth and stable scrolling as content changed. Using Rust and Slint, the solution improved the stability and perceived performance of list-heavy user interfaces, directly targeting a high-visibility edge case that previously caused jumpy scrolling. This targeted bug fix aligned with broader project goals for UI stability, resulting in a more consistent user experience for dynamic content scenarios.
