During July 2025, 77@diazepam.cc updated the install_cp2k_toolchain.sh script in the cp2k/cp2k repository to improve documentation and user guidance for GPU version selection. Focusing on build system configuration and Shell scripting, they revised the script’s comments and documentation to accurately reflect support for newer GPU architectures, including A100, H100, and A40. This work reduced the risk of misconfiguration by ensuring that the documented options matched the toolchain’s actual capabilities. Although no bugs were fixed, the update enhanced maintainability and streamlined contributor onboarding by clarifying GPU option usage, demonstrating careful attention to documentation quality and technical accuracy.
