During January 2025, Seven Petals modernized the RSS feed generation script for the hacks-guide/Guide_3DS repository by refactoring rss.py. The work focused on replacing legacy string formatting with Python f-strings, enhancing code readability and maintainability while ensuring the RSS output remained unchanged. This approach aligned the script with current Python best practices and reduced the risk of formatting errors, making future enhancements and onboarding more efficient. Seven Petals applied skills in code refactoring and scripting, with a strong emphasis on backward compatibility and clear documentation. The update improved the technical foundation of the project without introducing new bugs or regressions.
