Worked on modernizing the RSS feed script for the hacks-guide/Guide_3DS repository by refactoring the existing rss.py file. Focused on replacing legacy string formatting with Python f-strings, the update improved code readability and maintainability while ensuring that the RSS output remained unchanged for end users. Emphasized backward compatibility throughout the process, preserving the script’s core RSS generation functionality. Utilized Python and scripting skills to reduce formatting errors and streamline future enhancements. Maintained clear documentation and commit messages to support traceability. The work enabled easier onboarding for future contributors and aligned the codebase with current Python best practices.
