Addressed a critical issue in REM sleep duration calculations by refining the get_rem_epoch function, ensuring accurate computation of REM periods across data epochs. This fix improved the stability and credibility of REM-based metrics, which are essential for downstream sleep science analysis. The work involved applying algorithm development and data analysis skills using Python, with an emphasis on correctness and reproducibility.
