Will Cooke developed and integrated a Rust-based Sass compiler package, rsass version 0.29.0, into the xnox/os repository, focusing on modernizing the build system and reducing reliance on Ruby-based tooling. He implemented comprehensive build, test, and update pipelines using Shell and YAML, ensuring robust continuous integration coverage for the new package. This work enabled an alternative Sass compilation path, improving build performance and supporting faster front-end development cycles. By introducing Rust-based tooling and enhancing package management and testing workflows, Will laid the foundation for broader adoption of cross-language utilities, addressing both performance and maintainability within the repository’s build infrastructure.
