During December 2024, Botelho focused on optimizing image builds for the ublue-os/bluefin repository by reducing unnecessary dependencies. He improved the Bluefin image by removing the freeipa-client and sssd-ipa packages, which streamlined the build process and reduced the overall image footprint. This work involved careful dependency management and the use of shell scripting to automate image composition, resulting in a cleaner and more maintainable system. Botelho collaborated with CI and QA teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment. His efforts enhanced system administration workflows and demonstrated a solid understanding of image building and packaging within a commit-driven development environment.
