Worked on the session-foundation/session-android repository to restore essential phone call functionality within Android foreground services. Addressed a critical bug by reinstating the FOREGROUND_SERVICE_PHOPNE_CALL permission through a targeted manifest and configuration update, rather than altering application code. This approach preserved existing in-app call flows and minimized risk, ensuring continued reliability for users dependent on foreground service features. The work was documented thoroughly to support future maintenance and audits. Leveraged Android development expertise and Java to deliver a stable solution, focusing on permission management and system configuration rather than feature expansion, and maintained the integrity of established user experiences throughout the process.
