Worked on the GaetanLepage/nixpkgs repository to address a macOS build failure affecting the pay-respects package. Focused on build system configuration and package management using Nix, the developer identified that missing network-request dependencies were causing CI failures on macOS. To resolve this, curl was added as a build dependency, ensuring that the package could successfully complete its build process on the target platform. The solution involved updating the Nix packaging to explicitly declare all necessary dependencies for macOS, which improved CI reliability and reduced potential release blockers. The work demonstrated attention to cross-platform compatibility and dependency management best practices.
