Worked on accessibility improvements for the All-Hands-AI/OpenHands repository, focusing on refining the UI toolkit’s tooltip component. Addressed a key accessibility issue by refactoring the tooltip implementation to use StyledTooltip, which eliminated problematic nested button structures and improved overall HTML semantics. This targeted fix enhanced keyboard navigation consistency and reduced accessibility risks for end users, while maintaining the existing user experience. The work was carried out using React with both JavaScript and TypeScript, ensuring clear version control for future maintenance. The changes stabilized tooltip interactions across the application and resolved a class of accessibility and semantic regressions in the codebase.
