During November 2024, contributed to the OneCommunityGlobal/HGNRest repository by delivering a targeted analytics refactor centered on volunteer trends. Developed a new Volunteer Trends Analytics Endpoint using JavaScript, Node.js, and MongoDB, enabling aggregation of volunteer counts across multiple timeframes. The technical approach replaced the previous time-entry based aggregation with a direct method that computes active volunteers from user profiles based on creation date and selected timeframe, improving both accuracy and performance for trend reporting. The work focused on feature delivery and stability, with no major bugs recorded, and demonstrated depth in data aggregation and REST API design within a production environment.
