During a two-month period, Abrakadavr contributed to the HealthSamurai/hs_ui repository by enhancing the design system and improving accessibility. They introduced an illustration color token, expanding the design system’s color options and enabling more consistent theming for UI elements. This work involved front end development and UI development using JavaScript, with a focus on design systems. In a subsequent update, Abrakadavr addressed accessibility by adjusting configuration and asset files to ensure assistive UI elements met WCAG AA color contrast standards. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to incremental improvements, focusing on foundational design and accessibility rather than bug fixes or large-scale features.
