During April 2025, Hcat contributed to the woodpecker-ci/woodpecker repository by advancing localization support for Chinese users. They focused on updating the UI translations, achieving 78.3% completion for Simplified Chinese and 3.3% for Traditional Chinese through two targeted commits. Using Go and YAML, Hcat leveraged Weblate to manage and integrate translation updates, establishing a foundation for ongoing internationalization and improved accessibility. While no major bugs were addressed during this period, the work laid essential groundwork for progressive localization. The depth of the contribution centered on enabling broader user engagement and setting up sustainable processes for future language support.
