Developed a public API surface for ID3 data retrieval in the shaka-player repository, enabling downstream components to access metadata, EMSG, and timeline regions through stable, reusable functions. The work focused on decoupling internal ID3 parsing logic from consuming components, which improves maintainability and supports metadata-driven playback experiences. The technical approach involved designing and implementing new JavaScript functions, with attention to API stability and ease of integration. Collaboration was demonstrated through co-authoring and cross-team code review.
