Worked on reliability and security hardening for the mindersec/minder repository, focusing on backend development and API integration using Go. Addressed HTTP client and GitHub provider rate-limiting by improving error handling and ensuring response bodies were properly drained and closed during retries, which reduced the risk of resource leaks and connection pool exhaustion. Enhanced error visibility by refining error propagation and masking, allowing operators to better diagnose issues. Implemented gosec-compliant fixes and robust retry logic to stabilize behavior under high request volumes. The work improved overall system reliability, particularly in handling rate-limited scenarios, and demonstrated strong skills in error handling and testing.
