In November 2024, Ajp Mobiel enhanced privacy and compliance for the DIAGNijmegen/website-content repository by disabling Google Analytics tracking in the production site build. Using Python, Ajp modified the publishconf.py configuration file to comment out the GOOGLE_ANALYTICS setting, thereby reducing data collection and exposure risk in production environments. The work focused on configuration management and build pipeline discipline, ensuring smoother and more reliable releases. Ajp documented the change with a clear, traceable commit, reflecting attention to governance and privacy-by-design principles. While no bugs were fixed, the feature delivered measurable improvements in privacy posture and production build reliability for the project.
