Worked on the DIAGNijmegen/website-content repository to enhance privacy and compliance by disabling Google Analytics tracking in the production site build. This was achieved by modifying the publishconf.py configuration file, specifically commenting out the GOOGLE_ANALYTICS setting to reduce data collection in live environments. The approach emphasized configuration management best practices, ensuring changes were clearly documented and traceable through commit history. Focus remained on improving build reliability and release governance rather than bug fixes. Demonstrated skills included Python scripting, configuration hygiene, and privacy-by-design principles, resulting in a more secure production deployment with minimized exposure of user analytics data.
