During March 2025, Alanin developed a Gotenberg availability caching feature for the pimcore/pimcore repository, focusing on performance and scalability. He implemented a caching mechanism with a configurable TTL, allowing the system to store and reuse Gotenberg availability results, which reduced redundant backend calls and improved response times. This work involved updating the GotenbergHelper component to leverage the new cache, integrating API communication, and managing configuration through YAML and PHP. Alanin’s approach addressed backend load concerns and streamlined availability checks, demonstrating practical application of caching strategies and configuration management within a production codebase, though no explicit bug fixes were recorded.
