Worked on enhancing developer onboarding by updating documentation in the UniversityOfHelsinkiCS/sis-importer repository. Focused on improving the README.md file, this work introduced a dedicated section detailing local database connection instructions, making setup steps clearer for new contributors. The existing database connection command was reorganized into a more logical location, increasing the documentation’s structure and discoverability. All changes were implemented using Markdown, with an emphasis on documentation best practices. This update aimed to reduce friction during local environment setup, enabling faster onboarding and smoother development workflows for future contributors. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts centered on documentation.
