Worked on the debezium/debezium repository to enhance the reliability of Oracle change data capture by addressing a critical issue in the Oracle Log Reader. Focused on backend development using Java and stream processing, the work involved implementing a targeted bug fix that validated the checkpoint SCN and index whenever an event’s SCN was less than the start SCN. This approach ensured accurate advancement of the change stream and prevented potential data gaps in production environments. The solution demonstrated a strong understanding of the Debezium framework and Oracle internals, contributing to improved data consistency for enterprise CDC workloads.
