Worked on enhancing Forth language support in the helix-editor/helix repository by improving Tree-sitter grammar and syntax highlighting. Focused on refining the parsing logic and highlighting rules to deliver more accurate code analysis for Forth, the work involved language grammar design and parser development using Scheme and TOML. These enhancements expanded Helix’s language coverage, enabling Forth developers to benefit from improved code readability and faster onboarding. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on feature development. The changes contributed to reducing time-to-value for Forth projects by streamlining syntax highlighting and increasing parsing accuracy within the editor.
