Worked on the openshift/assisted-service repository to expand storage capabilities by enabling Fibre Channel disk type eligibility for the x86_64 architecture. Updated the hardware validator in Go to recognize Fibre Channel as a valid drive type, addressing requirements for broader hardware support. Refactored disk eligibility tests to improve clarity, renaming variables to provide more informative failure messages and streamline the testing process. Focused on backend development, system design, and testing, the work emphasized maintainability and clear validation logic. The changes addressed specific feature requirements and contributed to more robust storage validation within the assisted-service codebase during the development period.
