Worked on improving desktop notification reliability in the coder/coder repository, focusing on the Cursor Desktop application. Addressed a user experience issue by removing an erroneous 'Install Cursor' notification that appeared when Cursor was already installed, and adjusted the notification timeout from 500ms to 1500ms to enhance responsiveness. Utilized TypeScript and front end development skills to isolate, fix, and verify the bug, ensuring the notification system behaved predictably across environments. Employed Git for commit traceability and issue tracking, and conducted thorough QA validation to confirm the fix reduced notification noise and improved UX consistency for Cursor users.
