Worked on the apache/druid repository to deliver an in-memory optimization for the SeekableStreamSupervisor, focusing on backend development and distributed systems using Java. The approach involved fetching active tasks directly from memory rather than querying the database, which reduced database load and improved the performance of RunNotice operations. Additionally, updated the Kafka and Kinesis indexing service tests to align with the new in-memory active task flow, ensuring consistency and reliability in the testing process. The work emphasized performance optimization and stability, with all efforts concentrated on enhancing system efficiency rather than addressing bug fixes during this period.
