During November 2024, contributed to the xtdb/xtdb repository by developing a standalone Docker image to enable Google Cloud integration. This work focused on enhancing deployment automation and cloud readiness by containerizing the Google Cloud module, allowing for streamlined building, pushing, and deployment as a container. Leveraging Docker, Gradle, and YAML, the implementation introduced new build configurations and Dockerfile settings, reducing setup time and minimizing human error. The approach emphasized repeatable, consistent cloud deployments and improved CI/CD workflows. No critical bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on delivering robust build automation and cloud infrastructure capabilities for the project.
