Worked on the finos/git-proxy repository to deliver upstream proxy configuration for outbound Git requests, enabling the application to function in restricted network environments. Developed robust validation for proxy URLs, including protocol and hostname checks, and ensured safe proxy agent creation to prevent misconfigurations. Enhanced error handling and routing reliability for outbound requests through careful backend development using Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript. Updated both the documentation and schema to reflect the new upstreamProxy feature, supporting maintainability and clarity. Collaborated with multiple contributors to refine code quality, incorporating regex improvements and cross-team feedback throughout the feature’s implementation and integration process.
