Developed and delivered a user authentication system for the EliasEsperanza/Proyeccion-Social repository, focusing on backend development using PHP and Laravel. The work centered on introducing a login validation middleware and refactoring the authentication controller to leverage this middleware, which centralized authentication logic and improved error handling. This approach provided consistent feedback for all login attempts and streamlined user registration and logout processes. By enhancing security and maintainability, the update established a solid foundation for future features such as multi-factor authentication or token-based sessions. The implementation emphasized reliability and developer productivity, supporting ongoing improvements to the authentication flow and system architecture.
