Worked on the openMF/web-app repository to address a critical issue in date formatting between the frontend and backend systems. Focused on improving data integrity and user experience, the developer implemented a fix using Angular and TypeScript to ensure that dates are consistently formatted according to user preferences before being sent to the backend API. The solution leveraged the Dates.formatDate service and included locale and dateFormat in the payload, aligning frontend data with backend expectations. This change eliminated configuration workflow warnings related to mismatched date formats, reducing user confusion and support requests while enhancing the reliability of business data handling processes.
