Worked on enhancing the Checkmate Gauge component within the bluewave-labs/Checkmate repository, focusing on expanding its data representation capabilities. The project involved adding two new metrics and their corresponding values to the component’s propTypes, ensuring more granular and accurate metric display in dashboard interfaces. Using React and JavaScript, the implementation maintained stable integration with the existing user interface and preserved backward compatibility through careful propTypes validation. All changes were thoroughly documented and traceable via a clear commit history, supporting maintainability and transparency. The work aligned with business goals of improved observability, laying a foundation for richer metric visualization in future iterations.
