During June 2025, Andrey Antropov focused on stabilizing metadata handling in the mathworks/arrow repository, specifically addressing a bug in Flight SQL’s ColumnMetadata retrieval. He identified and corrected issues with the retrieval of metadata properties, such as case sensitivity and read-only status, by ensuring the correct keys were used in FlightRPC. This targeted fix, implemented in C++ with a strong emphasis on API development and SQL integration, improved the reliability of metadata-driven data discovery and downstream analytics.
