The primary engineering effort involved refactoring the handling of the aria-hidden attribute within the NavbarItems component to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and improve support for assistive technologies. Using React and TypeScript, the work emphasized clean, traceable commits and robust front end development practices. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the focus remained on delivering a user experience improvement and laying the groundwork for future enhancements.
