Worked on enhancing German punctuation mapping for Windows keyboards in the pqrs-org/KE-complex_modifications repository. Focused on updating the German punctuation JSON configuration, new rules were introduced to accurately map symbols such as braces, brackets, pipe, tilde, and the at sign for German Windows layouts. This approach ensured that non-Mac users experienced consistent and correct punctuation behavior across platforms. The work emphasized maintainability by isolating changes within the JSON configuration, streamlining future updates. JavaScript and JSON configuration skills were applied to address cross-platform keyboard layout differences, reducing the need for post-deployment fixes and improving the overall user experience.
