Developed a configurable options passthrough for VFOX backend plugins in the jdx/mise repository, enabling dynamic build configuration through Lua scripting. This work introduced a new options surface accessible in Lua, allowing users to tailor backend plugin behavior without modifying source code. The implementation included practical examples using TOML to demonstrate explicit parameterization, such as specifying tool versions and build resources. Leveraging skills in Lua, Rust, and backend development, the changes provided end-to-end support from backend logic to runtime Lua access. This enhancement improved plugin flexibility and repeatability, empowering users to customize build scenarios directly through configuration files.
