Developed a GitHub CLI Workflow Run Failure Logs Tool for the kubiyabot/community-tools repository, enabling targeted retrieval and viewing of failure logs from specific GitHub Actions workflow runs. Leveraging Python and expertise in CLI tool development, the solution integrated with GitHub CLI to streamline the debugging process for continuous integration pipelines. The tool’s core functionality was delivered through multiple commits, aligning with project requirements to add a ‘get log failed’ capability. This enhancement accelerated issue diagnosis and reduced mean time to resolution for failed workflows, improving CI reliability and developer productivity without introducing new bugs during the development period.
