Developed and integrated a comprehensive backup rename feature for the pelican-dev/panel repository, focusing on enhancing backup lifecycle management and auditability. The work involved backend API development using PHP and Laravel, introducing a dedicated RenameBackupRequest for robust request validation, and updating the BackupController to support the new endpoint. Leveraging Filament for the server management UI, the feature enables users to rename backups directly from the interface, with all actions captured in updated activity logs for improved traceability. This end-to-end solution addressed workflow efficiency and observability, reflecting a focused approach to backend development and API design within a production environment.
