Worked on the kubernetes/cloud-provider-aws repository to enhance ECR region parsing, focusing on improved compatibility with AWS dual-stack and FIPS endpoints. Updated the regular expressions to support new endpoint formats, reduced unnecessary capture groups, and extended the region parsing logic to handle multiple region combinations. Incorporated comprehensive testing updates to ensure coverage for the expanded endpoint scenarios, supporting robust validation of the new logic. Prepared the release candidate 1.32.0-rc.3 by updating version control artifacts, aligning with deployment and compliance requirements. Utilized Go and text processing skills, along with expertise in AWS ECR integration, regex, and automated testing practices.
