Worked on the CapSoftware/Cap desktop application, focusing on improving stability in the screen capture workflow. Addressed a crash in the Screenshot area picker by refining how the RecordingSettingsStore deserializes its configuration, ensuring that safe default values are always set and preventing null-related failures during area selection and recording. This fix enhanced the reliability of the area picker feature, reducing the risk of user-facing interruptions. The work involved applying robust Rust programming practices and leveraging desktop development skills to harden the application’s default-value handling. No new features were added during this period, but overall application stability was improved.
