During October 2025, Abail worked on the atlassian/atlascode repository, focusing on expanding the CODEOWNERS configuration to improve code review coverage and governance. By updating the CODEOWNERS file through two targeted commits, Abail broadened default ownership to include additional team members and the BBY FOLKS group, ensuring more accurate and timely assignment of pull request reviews. This DevOps-driven change leveraged skills in configuration management and Git, directly addressing bottlenecks in review workflows. While the work was limited in scope, it provided clear business value by streamlining PR triage, clarifying accountability, and enhancing the overall quality of the code review process.
