Worked on enhancing authentication reliability in the semgrep/semgrep-network-broker repository by improving GitLab Personal Access Token handling. Focused on backend development using Go, the work involved updating regex patterns to support both versioned and non-versioned PAT formats, thereby reducing authentication failures in GitLab-based workflows. The technical approach centered on broadening token parsing logic to accommodate a wider range of token structures, aligning with evolving project-wide token management requirements. By clarifying and expanding the supported PAT formats, the changes improved automation reliability and operational robustness for integrations dependent on GitLab authentication, reflecting a targeted and technically sound engineering contribution.
