Worked on enhancing the event viewing interface for the UTDNebula/jupiter repository, focusing on mobile responsiveness and improved date selection. Refactored the event viewing component using React and TypeScript to introduce a calendar-based date picker, replacing free-text date entry to reduce input errors and streamline event planning. On mobile devices, implemented native date input for a smoother user experience, while on larger screens, set the DateBrowser input to read-only to enforce calendar use. Emphasized responsive design and UI/UX best practices, ensuring cross-platform consistency and maintaining compatibility with existing components. No bugs were fixed during this period, with work centered on new features.
